I am Prof Dr Adv.Sunil Vatsala Baliram Gaikwad, a dedicated politician and former Member of the Indian Parliament of the 16th Lok Sabha latur Maharshtra,With an unwavering commitment to public service, I have relentlessly strived for the betterment of the people I represent. Throughout my political career, I have focused on driving impactful initiatives and implementing positive changes that uplift the lives of the citizens.
During my tenure, I have undertaken numerous initiatives that have had a transformative impact on the community. Some of my notable accomplishments include

Five years of dedicated developmentwork as an M.P. Active participation in the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Information Technology and the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Official Language (Rajbhasha Samiti) Led the Indian Delegation at the World e-Parliament Conference inValparaiso, Chile Contributed to the progress of various initiatives such as Railway development, Passport Office improvements,(Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana) and the Ujwala Yojana for the establishment of a Super Specialty Hospital Skills: Proficient in the field of journalism with experience as an editor, owner, publisher, and printer of newspapers Excellent command of languages:English, Hindi, and Marathi Strong knowledge and research contributions in the field of Management Science, particularly in marine food products in India Expertise in yoga science and naturopathy Hobbies: Reading books on spirituality Photography and video shooting,Filmmaking Jalayukta Shivar scheme, Permanent Drinking Water solutions,Medical reimbursement through PMNRF, and uniform distribution of MPLAD funds across the constituency Active involvement in SAG
Railway Coach Factory and Infrastructure Development : One of the remarkable achievements during My tenure was the establishment of a railway coach factory in the Latur district.This factory not only generated employment opportunities for the locals but also contributed to the growth of the region’s economy. Additionally, significant investments were made in enhancing the infrastructure of railway stations like Latur Road, Udgir, and Nanded.
Passport Office at Latur: Prior to My tenure, the people of Latur faced considerable challenges in obtaining passports due to the absence of a dedicated passport office in the region. My efforts led to the establishment of a passport office, simplifying the process for residents and saving them valuable time and resources.
Introduction of New Train Services: Recognizing the need for improved connectivity, My worked relentlessly to start new train services from Latur to various destinations, including Tirupati, Bidar, Nagpur, Kolhapur, Panvel, and Nanded. These new train routes facilitated easier travel for the people of the region and boosted economic prospects.
VIP Lounge and Hindi Library at Latur Railway Station: My focus on enhancing public facilities led to the
construction of a VIP lounge at Latur Railway Station, ensuring a
comfortable experience for dignitaries and officials. Additionally, a Hindi library was established at the railway station, promoting the use and preservation of the Hindi language.
NEET Exam Centre & Healthcare and Education Initiatives: One of the most significant contributions was the establishment of a 200-bed super-specialty hospital in Latur. This state-of-the-art medical facility not only catered to the needs of the local population but also served as a healthcare hub for people from neighboring Telangana,Karnataka, and Andhra Pradesh. Furthermore, he played a crucial role in setting up NEET exam centers in Latur, Nanded, and Hingoli, enabling aspiring students to pursue careers in medicine.Recognizing the importance of quality education and equal opportunities, I played a pivotal role in establishing a NEET exam center in our region. This initiative has allowed aspiring medical students to have a fair and accessible platform to pursue their dreams.
Rural Development and Water Conservation:
My directed funds from the Members of Parliament Local Area
Development Scheme (MPLADS) to initiate multiple projects for
rural development, including the installation of over a hundred
borewells in Latur city. This greatly helped in addressing water
scarcity issues and improving agricultural prospects in the region.
Public Toilets and City Bus Stops: In a significant effort to
improve public sanitation, My oversaw the construction of
public toilets across Latur, addressing a critical need that had been
overlooked for years. Additionally, he ensured the construction of
city bus stop shades, providing commuters with shelter from the
elements.
Contributions to the Parliamentary Proceedings:
Dr. Sunil Baliram Gaikwad was an active and engaged parliamentarian who effectively utilized his position to raise pertinent issues affecting the nation and his constituency. He asked approximately 750 parliamentary questions during his tenure and participated in debates on crucial bills like the Atrocity Bill, Mental Health Care Bill, Labour Law Amendment Bill, and Finance Bill.
Housing under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana: As a strong advocate for affordable housing, I have been instrumental in the construction of over 1000 houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. This initiative has provided shelter and security to numerous families, empowering them to lead better lives.
Ujjwala Gas Yojana: In line with the government’s vision of clean cooking fuel for all, I have facilitated the distribution of free gas connections to more than 1 lakh families under the Ujjwala Gas Yojana. This initiative has improved the quality of life for families and reduced their dependence on traditional and polluting cooking methods.
Water Supply during Drought: During the challenging times of drought, I worked tirelessly to ensure a consistent water supply to Latur. By coordinating efforts, I facilitated the transportation of water via train, providing relief to the affected communities.
Infrastructure Development: Recognizing the importance of infrastructure in economic growth, I played an instrumental role in the development of key projects. I worked towards starting the Ratnagiri-Nagpur highway, as well as the Latur-Temburni highway, improving connectivity and fostering regional development.
International Engagements:
As a representative of India, I had the honor of chairing the Indian delegation at the World e-Parliament Conference held in Chile, South America. Additionally, I actively participated in Asian Parliamentary Standing Committee meetings on social and cultural affairs in Bhutan, fostering collaboration and exchange of ideas among nations.
Parliamentary Contributions: I am proud to have maintained a 100% attendance record in the Parliament and have actively participated in its proceedings. I asked over 700 questions, effectively voicing the concerns and aspirations of the people I represent. In recognition of my dedicated parliamentary work, I have received the prestigious Sansad Ratan Award for being the best parliamentarian.

service and his noteworthy accomplishments did not go unnoticed.
He received numerous accolades, including the prestigious Sansad
Ratn award and several national and international honors. His legacy as a highly educated and visionary leader continues to
